Saturdays, January 30th & February 6th, 9am - 11am $45 (both days)
Ayurveda, the “Science of Life,” is an ancient holistic healing modality from India that uses lifestyle, food, herbs, mantra and asana (physical poses) to help individuals address health concerns or issues, and bring balance to one’s mind, body and spirit.
Ayurveda is the sister science to yoga. Traditionally, Yoga and Ayurveda went hand in hand – one was not understood, nor taught, without the other. This 5,000 year old science that acknowledges individual differences, imbalances, and treatments.
Complete your yoga practice by learning and understanding key principles of Ayurveda and how to incorporate Ayurveda into your daily life, supporting inner balance and strength. Learn about the doshas (and balancing them), dinacharya (personal hygiene), ama (toxins) and agni (fire) in relation to digestion, Prakruti (your true nature) vs. Vikruti (current state of imbalance). As you discover your mind/body type (dosha) you can learn how this simple understanding can lead to better health and a deeper connection with life.
The two Saturday workshop will also include learning about key herbs and sampling herbs, recipes for ayurvedic meals, food samples and much more!
